Hi, I'm Violet. I'm a very busy lady. Among other things, I write stories, create art and craft tiny things in silver and stone. I also have a family and a small zoo. I am an advocate of freedom, be that the freedom to speak, freedom to choose, question, or simply the freedom to be and let be.

I have spent a lifetime questioning accepted truths found in the mundane and more extraordinary aspects of life, touching upon ownership of our own consciousness through to the origins of faith and, indeed, humanity as we know it now. 

My stories blend modern life's harsh realities with fantastic tales that took root in our collective consciousness many, many moons ago. 

This blog expands on some of the topics that crop up when I write, it's a place to go into more depth on things I touch on briefly, and I hope you'll join the discussion in the comments section.
